At Venus Villas, a women-only mental health clinic,
as a documentary project is sprung on the patients out of the blue,
initial hesitations dissolve as the project brings forth a transformative sense of community and trust among patients.

When the director's hidden agenda surfaces,
things take a dark, morally ambiguous turn.

"Earth to Venus" delves into identity, community, and visibility in a world that often evaluates women based on appearance, social standing, and productivity.

SYNOPSIS

Earth To Venus originated at Atlantic Acting School, during a devising workshop called Workshop 6, led by Rachel Collignon (Writer and Director) and Joni Grommesh (Assistant Director) and Starring Julia Coffey, Miranda Renee, Grace Rucci, Sara Demetree, Alba Valentino and Brittany Molesworth, the wonderful actors who brought this play to life. 

The show premiered in its first version on the final day of that workshop, at Atlantic Acting School, with Stage Manager Extraordinaire, Christine Treuhold. 

Couraj Productions came to be as Joni and Christine worked together to build the future of this show.

Earth To Venus had its Off-Off-Broadway Premiere, directed by Jasmine K. Bernard, at Teatro Latea’s NYWF in the Lower East Side of Manhattan, with a partially new cast: Catherine Andy, Rachel K. Cabeza, Jessica Gómez-López, Kkuumba Siegell, Alba Valentino, Natalie Roman.

Earth To Venus is now running at The Atelier @ Theaterlab. Directed by Mahima Saigal. Featuring Catherine Andy, Jasmine K. Bernard, Rachel Collignon, Sammi Gainer, Kaila Galinat, Jessica Gómez-López, Sammy Overton, Kkuumba Siegell.
